Finalist in Care & Support West Care Awards
Ali Kinsella, Campania Home Manger, is a finalist in Care & Support West Care Awards
STAFF at Campania are celebrating this week, because their Manager is a finalist in the Care & Support West Care Awards.
Ali Kinsella, manager of Campania ARBD Home, Weston Super Mare, is a finalist for the Disability Care Award.
“I started off as a tea girl in a nursing home, aged 15, and have now worked in care settings ever since. I have worked with people with learning difficulties, physical difficulties, mental health, Autistic spectrum disorders, eating disorders and the Elderly Mentally Infirm (EMI) throughout my career.
Now I manage Campania ARBD home on a day-to-day basis, ensuring high standards are maintained. Whilst looking after staff retention and recruitment, to completing assessments and ensuring a smooth transition into the home. Working together with the staff and residents on a three-step enablement programme. The programme ensures that the residents engage in the activities that they enjoy and lead a fulfilling life whilst living here at Campania.
I really enjoy working with my residents and seeing them progress. Most of all; a simple smile when they achieve a task is so rewarding.”
The presentation ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 14 in Bristol, when 22 winners will be announced from the 60 finalists chosen.
Mr. Nunzio Notaro, Managing Director, said:
“The Care Awards are a fantastic opportunity to highlight and celebrate the exceptional work done by those in the care sector. It is these people that truly make a difference to countless people’s lives. They are ambassadors for the industry, applauding the very best in care.
“We are incredibly proud to have three finalists within the Notaro group in these awards. So everyone would like to congratulate all involved, and to wish them the very best of luck for the finals.”
