Fundraising for a Mobility scooter
Serenita ARBD Care Home are fundraising for a mobility scooter…
SERENITA SUMMER FETE
Residents, staff and friends enjoyed a wonderful day of fundraising last Friday. There were stalls and cakes and a BBQ which was eaten indoors, due to the rain. But the weather didn’t dampen the enthusiasm, and the home raised £183 towards the much needed mobility scooter. They will be following this event with further fundraising, but are well on their way to their target of £500.
A big thanks to everyone who donated items, and who came along to support Serenita, including residents of Campania.
Serenita residents have enrolled in a group run by the Weston ”lighthouse” project, which is a charity aimed at helping local people living with addiction, and those in recovery from alcohol or drugs. The project runs weekly and promotes social and life skills in a safe and healthy environment. Activities include jewelry making, computer skills, art therapy and gardening.
“Our residents absolutely love attending this group, as you can see from the photos.” [Nicola Tweedle, Activities Coordinator]
