La Fontana reaches awards final…
Notaro Care Homes are thrilled to announce that our newest and most innovative home, La Fontana, Martock has reached the finals in a bid to win the converted Healthcare Design Awards. Pinders have been organising the Healthcare Design Awards since 1999, and the presentation ceremony is now one of the ‘must-go’ diary dates in the healthcare calendar. The Awards aim to promote and recognise the very best developments in all types of care-related property.
The Healthcare Design Awards seek to acknowledge the contribution made by designers, architects and the owners of care homes, hospitals and other care schemes to the well-being and quality of life for those in their care. Whilst architectural standards and innovation are key factors, the overriding test for any project has to be the degree to which it has recognised the needs and desires of the residents and incorporated these into the final design. The awards also recognise the important contribution made by the owners of all types of care facility – irrespective of size or category of care. The judges will be looking to reward quality of care, achieved through quality of design, rather than design alone.
The judges, made up of Khosro Bashi of specialist care architects Tooley & Foster, Simon Bird from Property Director of Care South and Jon Champan from Pinder visited La Fontana to view the homes for themselves and carry out their assessment. They are pictured below handing over the finalist award and cheque for £500.00 to be donated to a charity of our choice. Notaro Homes would like to donate this £500.00 to the Alzheimer’s Society. The finals will take place in London later in March, where the overall winner will be announced.
