Taunton Charity Jail and Bail Event

Well done Mr Notaro, what a great sport you are….

Yesterday was the day that Notaro Care Homes saw their Managing Director, Mr Notaro arrested in the name of charity.  The event which was organised by The Stroke Association was aptly named Jail N Bail. The idea of the fund raising event was to get your boss arrested and for them to then raise bail money for their release.

At 11am the police riot van pulled into Aspen Court.  Residents and staff stood in the cold to see Mr Notaro’s charges read out by the local town crier, before he was handcuffed and placed in police custody and taken away to a secret location to raise his bail. The residents and staff cheered and clapped as Mr Notaro was taken away by the riot van with sirens blaring and lights flashing.

Mr Notaro had been smart and had already planned his bail by setting up a Virgin Money Giving page, with a target to raise £1000.00.  Through clever networking, very generous staff and pulling in favours Mr Notaro smashed his target and raised £1953.00 for this well worthy cause.

Mr Notaro was not alone in his cell, which incidentally was The Castle Inn hotel.  He was joined by fellow felons from Debenhams, Lloyds TSB, Musgrove Park Hospital and a Taxi Company.

We think he is a great sport for getting involved in this well organised, humorous event and would like to thank The Stroke Association for providing us with the opportunity to get involved.  We understand that a full press release will feature in a forthcoming edition of the Somerset County Gazette.
