ARBD Care Home, Vane Hill awarded highest rating

Vane Hill ARBD (Alcohol Related Brain Damage) Care Home is the latest of the Notaro Homes to gain a 5 star food hygiene rating for their kitchen. Manager, Steve Todd said, “This is wonderful, I am really happy for the staff, they deserve recognition for their hardwork and all their efforts have paid off, it’s great news”.

The food standards agency carry out regular checks on all food premises to make sure the public is protected and that high standards are maintained.

Under the scheme, star ratings are allocated to food premises at the time of their routine inspection and each food outlet is provided with a star rating sticker to display on the door or window, similar to the one shown on this news item.

Star ratings have been allocated to premises in Somerset since 1 November 2007. The rating ranges from 0 stars for the worst levels of compliance, through to 5 stars for the very best standards of food safety management.

5 stars: Excellent hygiene, highly confident in management
