Vane Hill enjoys a visit to Torre Abbey…
Torre Abbey is a historic building and art gallery in Torquay. ‘Since its foundation in 1196, Torre Abbey has witnessed, survived and even played a role in some epic moments of history. It is one of the best buildings in the country to tell the story of 800 years of Catholicism between 1196 and 1930.’
Residents entered the Historic House and enjoyed listening to fun, hi-tech, talking portraits, statues, interactive displays and looked at one of the largest fine art collections in the South West.
They then explored the beautiful, tranquil gardens; with a wealth of exotic plants and garden trails.
It was a fun and interesting day had by all.
