Various events for ARBD Homes

various events

During August and September the residents of Serenita have been out and about at various events and trips.

Serenita ARBD Care Home have been very busy attending various events and trips in their local community; their first trip involved them going on a boat trip along the River Exe whilst enjoying cream teas.

They attended the Somerset Community Festival with live music, animals and a wet sponge ‘stocks.’ With Nicky Tweedle [activities coordinator] reluctantly becoming the target for residents to enjoy their throwing skills …perhaps enjoying it a little too much !!!

They visited Immacolata House and were rather bemused by the ”giant” goat. Nobody had ever seen such a grand creature.

They visited the now very famous ”DISMALAND” the temporary art creation of BANKSY…the residents created their own art installation by decorating their arms with a Dismaland stamp!

The Serenita residents also took their new jewelry making equipment to Campania and shared their craft skills and provide companionship with others who are living with alcohol related problems.
