Campania ARBD Care Home enjoys a trip to Chew Valley Lake…
Residents and staff made the most of this beautiful weather by organising a trip to Chew Valley Lake. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Mendip Hills, surrounded by unspoilt meadows and woods. Working closely with the Wildlife Trust and other environmental groups, Bristol Waters has created a haven for various species of birds and plants, and a lovely day out for visitors.
When they arrived, they had a pit stop in the café, to enjoy a hot drink. Once ready, they took a stroll together down to the lakes, where they fed the birds.
Once the birds were fed, it was time to feed themselves; Staff and residents found a lovely spot by the lake for their picnic and to take in the beautiful views.
Chloe Hearne, Activities Coordinator said ‘Residents really enjoyed the trip out and have requested to be taken there again, which is great to hear!’
