St George’s Day celebrations at Campania

Campania celebrate St George’s Day…
Monday 23rd April is St George’s Day, because is is the death anniversary of St George; England’s patron saint’s. As stated by the legend, St George was a soldier in the Roman army whom killed a dragon to save a princess!
On Saturday Campania had a singer come in to play ‘golden oldies’ from the 60s & 70s. Residents and staff were off their seats and on the floor showing their moves.
Sunday afternoon spent in the seafront cafe enjoying the weather and coffee. Then on St George’s a BBQ in the garden for lunch followed by an afternoon of bingo fun.
We had an amazing weekend here at Campania with the build up to St George’s day.
We were so pleased to see so many of the residents get involved, the sunshine definitely helped. So we are all looking forward to the summer!
