Survive and Thrive project update and other news from Serenita Care Home…

Since the end of Serenita’s Survive and Thrive course, there were discussions on the opportunity to extend the learning partnership with North Somerset Council, which has been successful and the follow on course is called ”my opinion matters” and begins on the last Monday in June. There is a lot of interest from the previous group of residents as well as new ones.

Visit to Vane Hill

The residents from Serenita went to Torquay at the weekend to visit Vane Hill. Everyone agreed that Vane Hill was amazing, and that the residents are a credit to the home. The grounds are kept so well by residents. The lovely Amanda writes the newsletter and looks after the chickens and ducks.
A wonderful BBQ was prepared by Jason, John and Paula.

”We were made to feel so welcome, and were so impressed by residents… they are a shining example of commitment, community spirit and teamwork.”

A resident from Serenita said ” a massive thanks for looking after us with the BBQ and being really friendly. Ive got some good ideas of things I want to do when we get back”
