Trinity Close Christmas Lights
Campania ARBD residents take a trip to see the Trinity Close Christmas Lights
Campania ARBD residents took a festive trip out to see the famous Trinity Close Christmas Lights in Burnham; on the way, they stopped at Sanders Garden Centre to see the Christmas displays and warm themselves with a hot drink and mince pies.
There are six homes in Trinity Close that put on the Christmas illuminations, displaying an estimated 100,000 tiny lights! From Santas, Christmas trees to herds of reindeer! The tradition was started 12 years ago by Nick and Hazel Gardner together with their neighbours Chris Woodberry and his late wife Christine; Christine died in 2010 aged 61.
Trinity Close sees thousands of visitors each year and they are asked to make a donation. Donations go to PETAL, set up in memory of Christine Woodberry, for local cancer hospices, Musgrove Park Maternity Ward and Burnham Scouts.
Last year, the Close raised £8,250! The illuminations are lit up from 4pm – 10pm until January 1st 2015.
The residents enjoyed this festive trip out and thought it was something different.
