Campania residents create an emotional art piece for Armistice Day

More than 100 poppies were hand-painted for a poignant Armistice Day tribute at Campania ARBD Care home in Weston-super-Mare.

The residents together with Creative Mojo (an all-inclusive craft experience), create an emotional 3D art piece to honour those who died in service; as the country marks the 101st anniversary of the end of the First World War.

The art piece features a cutout silhouette of a soldier bowing down to a grave and decorated with over 100 hand-painted 3D poppies that, as a result, cascade down the stunning image.

Activities coordinator, Chunu, said:

“It looks fantastic! Everyone felt proud to be a part of the tribute. And now John, our maintenance person, has made a frame, it takes pride of place in our foyer.”
